Staff Recommendation:

Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rocklin Accepting the Public Work Known as the Rocklin Adventure Park Guest Services Building Railing, Stairs, and Lower Patio, Approving the Notice of Completion Thereof, and Authorizing and Directing the Execution and Recordation of Said Notice on Behalf of the City.


BACKGROUND:

On September 11, 2018, Council approved Resolution 2018-246, awarding the bid for the Adventure Park Guest Services Building Railing, Stairs, and Lower Patio to PBM Construction, Inc. This project consisted of constructing the lower patio below the Guest Services Building, installing stairs from the Guest Services Building to lower patio, and installing safety railing.

 

The bid was advertised on August 3, 2018, and August 10, 2018, with the bid opening on August 21, 2018. One bid was received and the project was awarded to PBM Construction, Inc. in the amount of $104,012 plus a 15% change order amount of $15,601.80 for a total amount of $119,613.80.

 

During construction one change order was issued in the amount of $13,740.00 bringing the total project cost to $117,752.00. All work associated with this project was completed on December 5, 2018.


Fiscal Impact:

This project was funded under the Public Facilities Impact Fees Fund (308). No fiscal impact has been identified as the amounts noted in this request are included in the budget plus any additional appropriations as approved by Council.
