| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | Park Drive Storage will be a self storage facility built on a 1.7 acre site on Park Drive near Sunset Boulevard (see attached map). Park Drive Storage is conditioned on, among other things, annexation into Community Facilities District No. 1, which finances the operation and maintenance of fire services and ambulance and paramedic services. The subject parcel was previously annexed into Community Services District No. 5 and Landscaping and Lighting Mainatenance District No. 2.
The landowner has submitted a petition and waiver letter for Community Facilities District No.1 which requests the annexation to occur and waives some of the procedural requirements for processing the annexation. With the petition and waiver, the Council may adopt the resolution of intention at this meeting, and proceed with the public hearing and election, and order the annexation at its regular meeting on January 14, 2020. Staff recommends approval.
