Staff Recommendation:

Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rocklin Approving an Appropriation of General Funds for the City Clerk Department for the FY 2019/20 Budget.

BACKGROUND:

Based upon historical and planned expenditures, the City Clerk Department budget for FY 2019/20 did not include funds for professional services. Due to the City Clerk position vacancy as of November, 2019, there is a need for short term professional municipal City Clerk support services during the transition in staffing – particularly in light of the approaching election season. Therefore, staff is requesting an additional appropriation of $27,000 in General Funds to be allocated to the City Clerk Department’s professional services budget as described below.
