State law requires local governing bodies to adopt a conflict of interest code, which identifies positions designated to report financial interests and categories of reportable financial interests. The City of Rocklin adopted its Conflict of Interest Code in 1980, by Resolution 80-116, and it has been amended several times since its adoption. State law also requires local governing bodies to review their codes at least once every two years and to amend the conflict of interest code as needed. The City of Rocklin last updated its Conflict of Interest code on June 25, 2019 by Resolution 2019-159.
Since the City last amended the Conflict of Interest Code, positions designated to report financial interests have been changed, deleted, or added. Staff recommends approval of a resolution amending the Conflict of Interest Code to update the list of designated employees required to report financial interests.
