Acceptance and Notice of Completion of the Johnson Springview Splash Pad and Pavilions

Adopt a Resolution Accepting the Public Work Known as the Johnson Springview Splash Pad and Pavilions, Approving the Notice of Completion Thereof, and Authorizing the Execution and Recordation of Said Notice on Behalf of the City (PBM Construction, Inc.).

On February 25, 2020, Resolution 2020-38, Council awarded the contract for the Johnson Springview Splash Pad and Pavilions project to PBM Construction Inc. in an amount not to exceed $629,692. Council also approved City Manager change authority at 15 percent of the contract amount ($94,453), for a total authorized expenditure of $724,145. The project was identified in the 2020-2025 CIP and FY 2019-2020 budget. The project consisted of installing a splash pad and replacing the existing pavilions at Johnson Springview Park.

During the project, three change orders were issued for a total of $75,470.40 which brings the total project amount to $705,162.40 and under budget. The project was completed on June 26, 2020.

This project came in under budget and is funded using RPFA-Capital Dollars (311) and Capital Construction Fees (304) dollars. The amounts noted in this request are included in the budget plus any additional appropriations as approved by Council.
