| | | | | | | | Staff Recommendation: | Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rocklin Accepting the Public Work Known as the Rocklin Road Bike/Pedestrian Road Realignment Project, Approving the Notice of Completion Thereof, and Authorizing the Execution and Recordation of Said Notice on Behalf of the City (Central Valley Engineering & Asphalt, Inc.).

| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | On March 10, 2020, Resolution 2020-46, Council awarded the contract for the Rocklin Road Bike/Pedestrian Road Realignment Project to Central Valley Engineering & Asphalt Inc. The Project was included in the both the 2020-2025 CIP and the FY 2019-2020 budget. The project consisted of realigning Rocklin Road from Hwy 80 to Granite Drive. The contract was awarded to Central Valley Engineering & Asphalt, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $203,527. Council also approved 15 percent change order authority in the amount of $30,529 for a total approved project cost of $234,056. Two change orders were issued bringing the total project cost to $212,680. The project was completed on July 15, 2020.

| | | | | | | | Fiscal Impact: | This project came in within budget and was funded using Bike Ped Fund (212) and Gas Tax Fund (210) dollars. The amounts noted in this request were included in the budget plus any additional appropriations as approved by Council.
