Staff Recommendation:

Provide direction and guidance to support the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission’s recommendation to support the research and feasibility of including a paved pump track within the future development at Whitney Community Park Phase II.
BACKGROUND:
At the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission meetings on February 10, 2021 and March 10, 2021, members from the Rocklin Bike Coalition presented ideas and plans to support a pump track and bike park within the City of Rocklin's parks system. The presentations discussed several benefits that a pump track and bike park would provide to the community.

At the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission meeting on May 12, 2021, the Commission provided a recommendation to support the research and feasibility of including a paved pump track within the future development of Whitney Community Park Phase II.

Members from the Rocklin Bike Coalition will be present to discuss the bike park concept and its potential benefits to the community.
