The City of Roseville (Roseville) is currently moving forward with the 2018 Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) Arterial Resurfacing Project that consists of the resurfacing of Stanford Ranch Road including the intersection of Five Star Boulevard and Stanford Ranch Road. In order to save costs and minimize traffic disruption, staff explored the possibility of resurfacing a portion Five Star Boulevard that was scheduled for this Fiscal Year (FY) 2020/21, at the same time Roseville’s resurfacing project took place.
Staff worked with Roseville to include the work as a change order to their project and Roseville provided the City with a cost not to exceed $150,000. Combining this work with the Stanford Ranch Road resurfacing project will result in a cost savings of approximately $100,000 in road materials, mobilization, traffic signal loops replacement, etc., and will reduce the traffic impact of performing two separate projects.
Staff collaborated with the Roseville to create a reimbursement agreement that will allow Rocklin to reimburse Roseville in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for the resurfacing of approximately 300 feet of Five Star Boulevard starting at Stanford Ranch Road.
This project is included as part of the Annual Road Resurfacing Project that is included in the FY 2021/22 budget that is before the City Council this evening for approval. The Annual Road Resurfacing Project is funded under the SB325 Sales Tax (Fund 210).
