The City of Rocklin (City) contracts with the County of Placer (County) to shelter wayward animals, and has utilized the County for this service since 2015. The current contract expired on June 30, 2021, and the City and County desire to enter into a three-year contract for Fiscal Years (FY) 2021/22, 2022/23, and 2023/24.
The terms of the agreement are substantially similar to the prior agreement with the County. The scope of services shall be based on the City’s pro-rata share of County Animal Services budgeted operating costs for FY 2021/22, which total $3,337,796. Charges for subsequent fiscal years shall be subject to an additional annual adjustment, based on the California Department of Industrial Relations Consumer Price Index- California for all urban Consumers, up to 3%.
The total amount of this three-year contract shall not exceed $295,465. This amount is the contractual maximum; the County will bill the City based on actual services utilized. For FY 2021/22, the amount payable by the City shall be a maximum of $95,592. The fee schedule is included as Exhibit A.
