The Sierra College Boulevard HMA Overlay Project (Exhibit A) was included in the Fiscal Years (FY) 2022-2026 Capital Investment Program, and the FY 2021/22 Operating budget approved by the City Council on June 22, 2021. This project consists paving (overlay) the roadway on Sierra College Boulevard (SCB) from Del Mar Avenue to the Placer County Line.
The Project Bid was advertised on August 6, 2021, and August 13, 2021, with the bid opening on August 24, 2021. Eight (8) bids were received, as listed below, with George Reed, Inc. submitting the lowest bid in the Amount of $501,585.83.

Staff has reviewed the bids for sufficiency and recommends that the City Council award the bid to George Reed, Inc. in the amount of $501,586 (rounded). The Rocklin Municipal Code section 3.04.050 authorizes a contingency amount of fifteen percent of the contract ($75,238 (rounded)) for a total authorized Project amount of $576,824 (rounded).
This project is funded through the SB1 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Fund (205).
