Recently the City received a letter from Pioneer Community Energy (PCE) providing notice of a proposed amendment to the Amended and Restated Joint Powers Agreement. The proposed amendment would revise the Limitations on Power designation from the County of Placer to the City of Colfax.
A copy of the letter and proposed amendment is attached as Exhibit 1. The PCE Board is scheduled to vote on the proposed amendment on January 20, 2022. Following receipt of the letter, Vice Mayor Broadway requested the proposed amendment be discussed at the next City Council meeting in order to better understand the proposal and provide direction to the City’s appointee to the PCE Board (Councilmember Janda).
Representatives from PCE will be present at the meeting to provide background and respond to questions.
