The Finnish Temperance Hall & Rocklin Event Center Out-Building Roof Replacements project was included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021/22 Capital Projects budget approved by the City Council on June 22, 2021. This project consists of removing and replacing the roofs located at the Finnish Temperance Hall and the Rocklin Event Center Out-Building. Project locations maps are included as Exhibits 1 and 2.
The invitation for bids for the Finnish Temperance Hall & Rocklin Event Center Out-Building Roof Replacements project was advertised on February 4, 2022, and February 11, 2022, with the bid opening Wednesday, March 2, 2022. One (1) Bid was received from MCM Roofing Company, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred and Twenty-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars ($122,900). See Exhibit 3 for the Bid Summary Sheet.
Staff has reviewed the bid for sufficiency and determined it was responsive. Staff recommends that the City Council award the contract to MCM Roofing Company, Inc. and establish the City Manager’s change order authority at Fifteen (15) percent of the contract ($18,435).
The Event Center Out-Building is funded out of the General Fund (100) and no budget appropriation is necessary. The Finnish Temperance Hall is funded out of the Public Facilities Impact Fees (308), and a budget appropriation in the amount of $51,320 will be necessary and may necessitate a budget amendment. The amount for this project including Fifteen (15) percent change order authority brings the total cost to $141,335.
