California Health and Safety Code sections 13146.2 and 13146.3 require city fire departments to perform certain inspections and report annually to its administering authority, as defined, on the department's compliance with the inspection requirements. Health and Safety Code section 13146.4 requires the administering authority, in this instance the City Council, to acknowledge receipt of the report in a resolution or a similar formal document.

During Fiscal Year 2021-22 the Rocklin Fire Department conducted inspections of 21 Group E Occupancies (schools) and 51 Group R Occupancies (hotels, motels, lodging, etc.) in the City of Rocklin.

The Rocklin Fire Department met the State's inspection requirements for those occupancies during Fiscal Year 2021-22. Staff recommends the approval of the attached resolution acknowledging the Rocklin Fire Department's compliance with the inspection requirements set forth in Health and Safety Code section 13146.2 and 13146.3.
