Acceptance and Notice of Completion of the SWRA East Pathway Phase II Project

Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rocklin Accepting the Public Work known as the SWRA East Pathway Phase II Project, Approving the Notice of Completion, and Authorizing the Execution and Recordation of the Notice on Behalf of the City (Consolidated Engineering, Inc.)

On August 9, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-165, awarding a contract for the SWRA East Pathway Phase II Project to Consolidated Engineering, Inc. The project was for the removal and replacement of approximately 5,500 lineal feet of asphalt walking trails with accessibility upgrades at Sunset Whitney Recreation Area. The project is included in both the 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/23 Budget.

The contract with Consolidated Engineering, Inc. authorized compensation not to exceed $720,722. Four (4) change orders were issued and the project came in under budget, at a contract amount of $651,840 (rounded).

The Project was completed on December 1, 2022. Staff recommends the City Council accept the public work known as the SWRA East Pathway Phase II Project, approve the Notice of Completion, and authorize the execution and recordation of the Notice on Behalf of the City.

The project was funded by the General Fund (100) and came in under budget.
